“Sequel” New Year Special Report: Was Wes a Rock ‘n’ Roller?

“Sequel” New Year Special Report: Was Wes a Rock ‘n’ Roller?

Here’s the first big news of the new year. Exactly two years ago, I posted the article [2002.1.1. New Year Special Report: Was Wes a Rock ‘n’ Roller?]. Last fall, I received another surprising email from Stephan Jay, who had greatly helped me obtain two singles back then.

“My friend Ronnie Haig, a musician who played guitar with Wes, provided much more detailed data about the recordings on Jimmy Coe’s site’s discography than before. This has led to the recognition of Wes’s participation in two more singles,” he informed me.

With this, a total of four rock ‘n’ roll singles from the Note label featuring Wes have been discovered. Once again, I am indebted to Stephan Jay for obtaining the two additional singles. In the past, it would have been unimaginable to receive such delightful news just by staying connected, but indeed, this is a promising start to the new year.
