Jazz mates (日本グラモフォン・ジャズ・クラブ機関誌)
Jazz Meets Issue 6, Published June 5, Showa Year 44 (1969)
The inaugural issue ran from November Showa Year 42 (1967) to Issue 9 in September Showa Year 45 (1970), after which it ceased publication. At that time, purchasing a gramophone record with an enclosed purchase card (attached to a string) and sending it to the jazz club enabled one to become a member and receive a non-sale institutional magazine. The content primarily featured introductions to records and musicians, with a “Fan Corner” where members could submit contributions, making it quite enjoyable.

GAY ATLANTA
1966 Oct 24
The cover features a photo of the legendary Marvin Gaye, similar to Wes Montgomery, who tragically met his end at almost 45 years old, shot by his father the day before his 1984 birthday. Gay Atlanta Magazine, a guidebook for the LGBTQ community in Atlanta, showcases the city’s top gay bars, dance clubs, LGBTQ-friendly hotels, saunas, events, and cruise clubs. Founded in 1937, it is now in its 29th year of publication, designated as Vol. 29 No. 43 in this issue. More details are available in my Blog.
