Transcriptions

Transcription involves transcribing music from records, and simply put, it is a form of copying. However, the process of transcribing note by note requires extraordinary patience and passion. Depending on how it is done, the resulting transcription may feel different from the original recording, thus putting the transcriber’s musical skill to the test.

In Japan, some transcriptions are overseen by notable guitarists such as Kiyoto Koizumi, Sadayoshi Nakamure, and Takaaki Miyanoe. Here, with the kind cooperation of our fan club member “GIBSON BOY,” we will periodically introduce transcriptions that have not been published.
