It’s been 32 years since Wes Montgomery passed away in June 1968. Many of us feel as if it happened just yesterday. ‘OGD’ to play a jazz tribute to Wes Montgomery.
As you know, the Wes-inspired guitarist Kiyohito Koizumi will be hosting a tribute live concert on June 15th, Wes’s death anniversary, under the title “Wes Special.” For over ten years, Koizumi has been holding this “Wes Special” every June at Shinjuku’s “J.” This year, it coincides perfectly with June 15th, which falls on a Thursday.
