スイスのウェス派ギダリスト

先日、大阪の輸入レコード店で偶然見つけたタイトル《Wes’Side》に思わず奇声を発してしまった。
久々の拾いものをした感じで取り上げてみると、アメリカではなくスイス人であることにまた驚いてしまった。
チューリッヒに住んでいるニック・ぺーリンは現在２６歳で、１年前にスイスのジャズ・スクールを卒業したあとクラブやフェスティバルでミュージシャンとして働き、ジャズ・スクールでギターを教えているという。

私の質問に早速メール返信をいただきました。
Ｑ：あなたはウェスが好きですか?
Ａ：もちろん大好きです。このＣＤはギリシャのベーシストGiorgos AntoniouとスイスのドラマーPeter Horisbergerとのトリオ演奏で、ウェスへのトリビュートを込めてタイトルに私が作曲した “Wes’Side” を使いました。　

Ｑ：恐らくあなたのことはまだ日本ではそう多くのファンに知られていないと思います。よければプロフィールなど知らせて頂ければ私のサイトで紹介したいと思います。
Ａ：あなたのサイトで私のＣＤを紹介して頂ければ大変ありがたいですね。そのことで私への意見や批評が集まることに期待します。そして何が・・・日本で起こっているかに興味を持つでしょう。

滑らかなサウンドは完成されているようです。かなりウェスの技術を研究した後が見られます。
一度聴いてみる価値はあります。

It looks great, and there's much interesting information on it! 
Unfortunately I can't read all the texts because we seem to have

I live in Zurich, Switzerland and I'm 26 years old. 
One year ago I graduated at the Swiss Jazz School, and since then 
I'm working as a jazz musician mostly in Switzerland playing in 
clubs and on festivals and teaching guitar at the Jazz School. 
I'm also a big Wes Montgomery Fan, so I decided to name the first 
record of my trio with greek bassplayer Giorgos Antoniou and 
swiss drummer Peter Horisberger after a tune I wrote to pay 
tribute to Wes("Wes'Side").
